Greenwich village is one of my favourite neighbourhoods in Manhattan. Bleecker Street Pizza is (so far) in my top FIVE for pizza! Their Nonna Maria is their signature pie. The thin crust has the perfect crispiness. Three days later I can still experience the sound and that crunch! The mozzarella cheese is cheesy but not in a crazy way. They use a homemade marinara sauce and fresh basil. So far it could pass as a margherita. The one ingredient that sets it apart is the parmesan.
Many New York pizza joints sell by the pie, but Bleecker Street sells by the slice too and offers tables for eating in. A wonderful experience if you happen to find yourself in The Village.
