The Whisper Man by Alex North

The Whisper Man by Alex North is a creepy thriller. The Whipser Man's real name is revealed within a couple of chapters. Here’s the thing, his crimes were committed over 20 years ago when he kidnapped and murdered five young children. He is now serving time in prison.

Tom Kennedy and his son Jake, decide to make a fresh start in a small town called Featherbank. Tom’s wife, Jake’s mother, has passed away. Shortly after they move in, a young boy, Neil Spencer goes missing. There are many similarities to the murders of the Whisper Man including that the children know rhymes about him and Jake starts having dreams and is found talking to people that he calls the little girl and the boy in the floor.

Pete Willis is the detective who caught the Whisper Man and must see him again to find out if he has an accomplice or whether or not this is a copy cat crime. Then Jake goes missing and Tom is willing to do anything he can to save all he has left in the world.

This was a riveting read. A man that whispers to young kids in the dark is creepy. Jake's character kept me guessing as I wasn't sure if he was actually experiencing what he was supposedly experiencing. It definitely kept me guessing. If you like a creepy, spine chilling read then this one is for you.
